We chose to work with Coastbuild after a survey of local builders listed on the Federation of Master
Builders website. Nick and Barry were enthusiastic about the project from the start and, after
receiving our initial email enquiry, they visited the site of their own accord. We agreed a contract
and Coastbuild arrived full force on the agreed start date and made good progress in the first week on site.
Coastbuild took a very collaborative approach, working with us, the architect and the engineer to
resolve any issues as a team. Coastbuild contributed a number of suggestions regarding design and
construction, several of which we adopted. In addition, they set very high quality standards and the whole team
took great pride in their work. Coastbuild took care of their staff and made sure work was done safely.
They built good relationships with neighbours, building inspectors and other stakeholders.
There was always time for a polite chat! During lockdown we could not visit site but Nick and Barry kept us informed with regular photo updates and a weekly video tour of the site. Nick and Barry were always available for a phone call or WhatsApp chat. We added someminor scope towards the end of the project and Coastbuild took this on board with their usual enthusiasm, and the project was completed safely, on the original agreed date.
In summary, Coastbuild performance has been outstanding and we would recommend them to anyone considering a similar project.
