Due to local recommendation we appointed Coastbuild for our project. Although not a huge development our project had a number of logistical challenges and was quite unique in its nature. We had to consider the strict planning consent that comes with properties in our area, the fact the property is semi detached, the property is our main residence and he had to deal with the fact that myself, my pregnant wife and two year old had to move into temporary accommodation.
We also had a strict budget which Nick managed and always kept us updated on the finances of the job.
Before appointing Coastbuild and starting the project I was concerned about the pressure that it would bring as I have a lot to deal with as a director of Brett Property.
I needn’t have worried, the project was completed well within the time frame set out by Nick. The worrying part of the project was removing the roof leaving the house open to the elements, as our budget was tight it was essential that the ground floor was not significantly damaged. The Coastbuild team completed this part exceptionally well and we did not lose one ceiling!
I also had concerns regarding the disturbance to neighbours however any discussions that were required with neighbours were handled by Nick and neighbours were left satisfied by those talks. As I work in customer service myself this was something I was most impressed by.
There were a quite a few challenging aspects to the design and construction which were hugely important to the end layout of the property, my father had discussions with Nick and was impressed by the teams knowledge and how they dealt with those aspect of the project.
Overall the project was completed within schedule and budget, the site was professionally handled with all safety and consideration given. The property has been transformed and ever day we are hugely grateful to Nick and his team for providing us with our dream home.
